A couple more tags

We celebrated Christmas on Friday with my mom and my twin brother, Chris, who was out on business from Nanaimo, B.C.

Here are the tags I made for their gifts.

First up is the tag that I made for my mom's gift.
I used my Papertrey Ink Tag Sale 4 die, as well as my Merry Christmas word die from Simon Says Stamp.

I die cut the Merry Christmas from a strip of SSS woodgrain card stock.
Then I ran the negative piece though with my Tag Sale 4 die and layered it over some red card stock before adhering it to my tag.
I added some baker's twine along the edges of the woodgrain card stock.

Then, I was left with the Merry Christmas word die cut.
As it was lying on my table, I couldn't help but notice that Christmas has my brother's name in it.
So I used it for my tag.

I die cut my tag using my Reverse Confetti Tag Me dies.
However, I wanted my tag a little longer to fit my sentiment.
So, I ran one end of my die though the die cutting machine but stopped before I got to the end.
Then I flipped my card stock/die around and slid the die down a little to make the tag longer.
Then I ran it through my die cutting machine again, but stopped before I got to the end.

I stamped my sentiment from Reverse Confetti's Bring On the Merry stamp set in versa mark
and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.
I added the trimmed die cut work, as well as some baker's twine.

Thanks for looking!

Highlighting your brother's name with the die cut was genius!! I'll need to look at my word dies in a different way now!! Great combination of tags.
