but Tracey wanted to do a post of both the past and present designers 

as a tribute to it.

Essentials By Ellen December Pin-Sights Challenge -- Guest Artist

Today I am super excited to announce that I was asked to be a 

Guest Artist for one of my favourite challenges: 

 the Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge!

The Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights challenge is a monthly inspirational challenge based 

on a Colour Trend Inspirational Photo that is located on the CLASSroom blog. 

A random challenge participant will receive a $50 gift certificate to the Ellen Hutson store.  

To be eligible, you must use Essentials by Ellen products and 

the following photo badge as inspiration. 

There will be an inlinkz on the challenge post where you can submit your entries.

Isn't it fun?

I was inspired by the photo in the bottom left hand corner, where all of the colours

seem to come from the middle of the design. 

I also wanted to use every colour from the strip on the right.

Here's my card:

I started off by diecutting my sentiment using MFT Stamps' Thanks die from white cardstock.

Then, I stamped images from Essentials By Ellen's Rustic Botanicals stamp set

in Altenew Moss, Mango Smoothie, Turquoise, Bamboo, Ruby Red, Sunkissed, 

Parrot, Starlight & Cotton Candy.

Tag You're It #79 -- Guest Featured Artist

A couple of months ago, I was asked by my talented friend, Carol,

if I would be interested in being the Guest Featured Artist for the Tag You're It Challenge.

Some of you might remember that I was a member of the TYI Design Team a couple of years ago.

As this challenge holds a special place in my heart, I immediately accepted Carol's invitation.

And I'm extra glad I did, because it turns out that Tag You're It #79 will be their last challenge.

So I hope you'll play along while you still have the chance.

I bought some super pretty wrapping paper from Chapter's earlier this fall (click here, here & here),

so I decided to make a tag to coordinate with these lovely colours.

I started by diecutting my MFT snowflake from white cardstock and pressed the tips of

it into my versamark pad, so I could emboss them in gold.

I adhered it to a tag I created using PTI aqua mist cardstock and Tag Sale #5.

I stamped my sentiment (from PTI's Fillable Frames #10) in versamark and heat

embossed it in white on a strip of black cardstock.

The 12 Kits of Occasions -- Guest Designer

I was thrilled to get a message from Lindsey Larsen of Occasional Crafting

asking if I would like to be a guest designer for this month's

12 Kits of Occasions.

If you're not familiar with this challenge, one member of the team

puts together a kit for each of the other members and they make cards

using the items in the kit.

I've been enjoying seeing the team's creations for years now --

and it was very fun to be included in this month's kit!

Wait until you see the kit that Lindsey put together!

It felt like it was custom made for me with its beautiful floral stamped images,

pretty patterned papers and embellishments.

She even included an adorable bike stamp and some super cute pineapples!

I feel like singing "These are a few of my favourite things" along

with my post... ;)

Here are most of the cards that I made with the kit --

if you stop by tomorrow, you'll see one more. ;)  

This gorgeous floral image was heat embossed on Bristol Board.

Now, I remember hearing how great Bristol Board was with Zig Clean Colour

Real Brush markers.... but I had just returned from our trip to Denver &

two trips to Hobby Lobby to stock up on watercolour paper at the time

and decided to not worry about it, as I had a lot of paper.

Well, I think I need to pick up some Bristol Board -- it worked amazing with my Zigs! 

And it's so white!

I'm so thankful that Lindsey included these in the kit.

The sentiment was also in the kit, but stamped in black on white, so

I restamped it on black and heat embossed it in white (it's from Altenew's Adore You.)

This HUGS diecut was just calling out to be made into a shaker card.

Lindsey included pretty coloured beads in the kit, to which I added a few of my own clear ones.

This was made with items from the kit.

I stamped the "you are" using a Reverse Confetti stamp.

I love this sweet bike!

Here I added the "birthday wishes" using a PTI stamp.

This card was very quick to create -- I can't wait to give ti to someone.

It's so pretty with the gold!

This last one is one of my favourites! 

The diecut is from wood paper and the "love you" diecuts are shimmery.

CTD 427 & PTI January Blog Hop

Today, I have two cards to share...

The first one is for The Colour Throwdown,

where I've been guest designing for the past two months!

This is my last challenge as a GD for them and I have enjoyed it so much!

Here's this week's CTD:

It seems whenever there's a jam jar in an inspiration photo,
I need to pull out my Lawn Fawn Summertime Charm jar and use it on my card.
Here's what I made:

(By the way, I apologize for the poor photos -- I had the hardest time photographing this card!)

Using some masking, I stamped the images from my Altenew Adore You stamp set

Versamark ink and Altenew inks onto watercolour paper and heat embossing them in clear.

I did the same thing with my Lawn Fawn jar.

I coloured the flowers and leaves in using my Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers and a Water Brush.

I made a mask for the jar and blended ink onto it.

I dropped water drops onto it and soaked them up with a tissue.

I stamped the sentiment (also from Adore You) onto a strip of green cardstock
and heat embossed it in white.
On my side panel, I stamped the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background stamp
in aqua on a piece of aqua cardstock.

Here's my card:

I stencilled the bottom of my panel using my PTI Woodblock Print stencil.

I diecut my Mat Stack 5 die from black cardstock and heat embossed my sentiment

(from Spring Woods) onto it.

I diecut the bird and branch from Spring Woods and stamped them in 

Altenew Cotton Candy, Ruby Red and Jet Black.

Colour Throwdown 426

I'm very excited to be guest designing
 for Colour Throwdown for December and January!

Here's this week's CTD:

I was inspired my the plaid pillows in the photo.
And the deer on the on pillow reminded me that I could use my
new MFT Stamps set Forest Friends.
Here's my card:

I created the plaid panel along the side by stamping 

with several different line stamps from my collection

in Altenew Ruby Red, Moon Rock, Morning Frost and Delicate Golden Glitz.

I stamped the deer on my Forest Friends coordinating diecut
in versafine onyx black and heat embossed it in clear before colouring
it in with some Delicata Golden Glitz ink mixed with water.
I stamped the sentiment from Forest Friends in versamark and heat
embossed it on white on a PTI Mat Stack diecut.

Reverse Confetti Sketch for You To Try #44 & Colour Throwdown 425

I'm very excited to be guest designing
 for Colour Throwdown for December and January!

Here's this week's CTD:

I decided to combine the challenge with this month's
Sketch for You to Try at Reverse Confetti:

Here's my card:

I started by masking a strip on my Stone Cardstock and blending ink onto it.
Then, I used my Lotsa Dots Stencil and added more of the same ink.
I diecut one of my Lacy Scallop Frames Confetti Cuts from watercolour paper
and inked the top portion with royal blue ink, and flicked water drops onto it.
I diecut the penguin and hat from watercolour paper using S'more Love Confetti Cuts
and stamped them with their coordinating S'more Love stamps in light grey ink
and coloured them in using my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers and a water brush.
I added a little Coffee and You coffee cup diecut using
the coordinating Coffee and You Confetti Cuts.

I stamped the sentiment from Let's Chill in versamark on a strip
of black cardstock, which I diecut using the same frame.

Countdown to Confetti: Cured

Welcome, 'Fetti Fans to Day 1 of the January Release for Reverse Confetti! 

This month's release is really fabulous!

In addition to four new stamp sets & ten new Confetti Cuts,

we're also releasing a new stencil, new patterned paper & four new colours of cardstock & ink!

Today, we're showcasing an adorable new set 

with coordinating Confetti Cuts called Cured.

For my first card, I used CAS(E) This Sketch #200 designed by Michele Ferguson:

Here's my card:

I started by stamping the adorable pig and sentiment from Cured onto Cloud White Cardstock

 in versafine onyx black ink and heat embossed them in clear.

I then repeatedly stamped the border from Cured along the bottom of my panel 

and cut it out by hand.

I coloured everything in using my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers

and a water brush.

I adhered my panel over a piece of the new True Love 6x6 pattern paper pad.

Next, I have some exciting news!

I was asked to be a guest designer this week for the Fusion Card Challenge!

Here's this week's challenge:

I chose to use the sketch to make my card:

I layered a piece of Cloud White Cardstock over a piece of True Love 6x6 pattern paper

and stamped my sentiment from Cured onto it.

I diecut the pig using my Cured Confetti Cuts and stamped the image

 in versafine onyx black ink and heat embossed it in clear.

I coloured it in using my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers

and a water brush.

And I have one last card to share today...

Once again, I diecut the pig using my Cured Confetti Cuts, stamped the image

 in versafine onyx black ink, heat embossed it in clear and coloured 

it in using my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers and a water brush.

I used another piece True Love 6x6 pattern paper and over it,

layered a new die called Tall Stripe Panel Confetti Cuts, 

which I diecut from Stone Cardstock.

For my sentiment, I used another new die called Love You More Tag Layer Confetti Cuts,

which I diecut from black cardstock.
