I am having so much fun playing along with PTI's Stamp-a-faire this weekend!
I made three cards last night and a fourth this morning.
I made them all using Betsy Veldman's sketch for the Patterns Challenge:
I love the striped background, which got me digging through my patterned paper stash
(which seems to keep growing despite the fact that I don't seem to use patterned paper
as much anymore on my cards. Strange....),
so these all qualify for the Mix & Match Challenge.
Because the sketch has twine at the top, I added some in in some way or another,
so they all qualify for the Threads Challenge.
And Amy Sheffer encouraged me to pull out my sewing machine.
Despite the fact that it had been giving me grief before I put it away
(this was why I put it away), the rest seems to have done it some good.
So, I added some machine stitching to all of my cards, for the Needles Challenge.
Here are my cards, in the order I made them.
As I was digging through my 6x6 paper pads, I decided that I wanted to use my
Pedal Pusher set for the sketch.
This means that I had to flip the sketch to make it work.
I added a couple of banners that I diecut using PTI's double-ended banner die
and a couple of buttons with twine.
The sentiment is also from PTI's Pedal Pusher set.
Now, when I found this patterned paper, I also found a cool "map" patterned paper
that I thought would also work for the sketch, even though it's not stripes.
On this one, I added the button to the wheel (which conveniently hides the fact that I didn't
stamp the wheel exactly in the right spot. Bonus!) and ran the twine under the sentiment.
This sentiment is from Choose Joy and I love how it fits with the bike!
My next card is going to a wonderful woman at my church
who always seems to have time for me.
The patterned paper here is my background (Becky Higgins)
and I also diecut a couple of other patterns using my Twig Wreath dies.
I am loving this stamp set!
I stamped some of the stamps directly onto the patterned paper background
and others onto their coordinating diecuts.
Again the sentiment is from Choose Joy.
And I made my last card this morning, before everyone else got up.
It is the one that resembles the sketch the closest, I think.
Here, the only stamping I did was the sentiment (Choose Joy).
The rest is all patterned paper, which I had fun fussy cutting this morning
with my kraft knife and new WRMK glass cutting mat.
Thanks for looking!

So nice, Leigh! I especially like the bike cards; the bike looks so good bleeding off the page. And all your patterned papers are great.

Such soft, pretty cards! I love the button and twine around the bike tire; it reminds me of a bike lock, only a pretty version... :)
