Today, I have three cards to share that I made for
CAS(E) This Sketch #141 designed by N@ Ali:
I made my first card two weeks ago, for the new children's pastor at our church --
I made my first card two weeks ago, for the new children's pastor at our church --
just a little card to welcome her and let her know that I'm looking forward
to serving with her in children's ministries.
I started by masking a square on my card from with post-it notes and inking
it with my Tim Holtz blending tool in aqua mist.
I stamped my sentiment & banner (both Winnie & Walter)
and then added the "to & our" but had to selectively ink other words from
that set to spell "church."
I masked off the banner and then stamped my flowers & leaves using
PTI's Twig Wreath stamp set.
The next two cards are ones that I made for the
My Favourite Things Card Design Superstar Contest.
This uses two new MFT sets: Fall Florals & Soda Pop.
My last card uses MFT's Soda Pop.
This uses two new MFT sets: Fall Florals & Soda Pop.
I blended some Altenew Warm Sunshine ink onto my background
and then built by bouquet using Fall Florals stamps and dies
in PTI's Simply Chartreuse and Ripe Avocado and Altenew's Frosty Pink,
Coral Berry and Warm Sunshine.
I stamped the sentiment from Soda Pop onto some black cardstock
in Versamark and heat embossed it in white.
I cut it into a strip and adhered it with dimensional adhesive.
My last card uses MFT's Soda Pop.
I inked up some white cardstock with three different colours of ink:
PTI's limeade ice, orange zest & Memento's lilac posies --
and then diecut them using the Soda Pop dies.
I stamped the circle images/sentiment on white cardstock
and diecut it using the smallest circle die I own.
I stamped my sentiment (also from Soda Pop) in Versamark ink
and heat embossed it in white on true black cardstock.
To mat my card, I inked some white cardstock with the lilac posies ink.
I'm also linking these last two cards up to this week's
and to play along, if you'd like.
You have until Thursday, September 24th to link up your card.
Thanks for looking!

Beautiful cards Leigh! I love the CTS card and how you created so much depth with a one layer card.
You've translated the sketch into three delights: two floral beauties and a soda-pop fun! Your first especially catches my eye: what a lovely welcome to the new pastor, who will adore this card, as do I!
