I can't believe it's already October!
Wow, September totally flew by!
Here are a few things that I've been up to lately....
1. Last weekend, Sage and I went on a Mother/Daughter retreat at the Winkler Bible Camp.
We had a fabulous time!
The theme was Tropical Retreat and it was very fun!
They gave us leis upon our arrival and had bikes at our disposal to ride around the camp.
The speaker was very good and the worship was excellent.
On Saturday, they had "excursions" for most of the day (Sage went horseback riding 3 times!)
For our meals, we had tables of two -- which gave Sage and I lots of time to talk.
It was just really great spending time with my best girl!
And my favourite photo from the weekend?
It was actually a selfie-goof.
I'd gone to take a selfie and had the zoom too close.
But I love it!
2. On Sunday, we had a hayride and wiener roast at Cameron's mom's farm.
She moved into an assisted living apartment this week, so this was a bit of a farewell
for her at the farm.
A selfie on the hayride.
A posed shot.
And a picture of Jonah driving the tractor while sitting on Cameron's lap.
3. This week, I decorated my front entrance with pumpkins:
I think my favourite thing about fall is the decor! LOL!
4. On our trip to Montreal this past August, I really liked how my brother's
home was painted all white on the inside.
And I decided that, seeing that my living areas needed to be painted,
this is the colour I would do, too.
So, last week, I painted our living/dining room, kitchen, front entrance
and hallways "Blanc sur blanc".
Here's our front entrance:
My best friend, Val, gave me that cool decorative rake for my birthday.
Our living room.
The set-up is a little temporary, as my mom gave this lazy boy chair to Austin
for his new room in the basement, which isn't done yet.
So, it's upstairs for now.
When it's gone, I'll switch around the couches and then the map of Paris on the wall
will be centred above the big couch once again.
Our dining area.
I still need to hang my chalkboard above the piano.
My computer armoire.
This is where I write my blog posts and hang out online. ;)
And my kitchen:
The walls in here used to be dark brown, so it's definitely a lot brighter now!
Next on my paint to-do list is Austin's room in the basement, followed by Jonah's room upstairs.
Did I mention I bought a five gallon pail of the paint?
If there's left over, I want to paint three walls in my bedroom, too.
5. And lastly, I have a card to share for the latest
using some Reverse Confetti products:
I love the fall colours with that green!
Since I've been loving wreath cards lately, I decided to create my own wreath
by stamping the vines from Pumpkin Patch repeatedly in a circle on my card front.
I stamped the leaves onto the card (from Love Blooms) as well as from Pumpkin Patch
onto some coordinating Pumpkin Patch Confetti Cuts.
I finished it off with my sentiment (from Walk By Faith)
and a button tied with twine.
Thanks for looking!

Love this post! Your selfie with Sage is AWESOME and I love what you did with the pumpkins at your entrance! Is it bad that now I want to paint my walls all white? Ha ha!
Love this post! I'm bedazzled by your energy and accomplishments in such short time frames! bonding with your daughter at camp: only awesome, as is the selfie! I imagine that moving your mother-in-law tugged at everyone's heartstrings; hopefully the farm will still remain in the family, because oh my...what spectacular surroundings! Painting...wow, wow and wow! How marvelous to have a tour of your filled-with-love, cosy, welcoming home! No wonder your children wear the best smiles EVER! Your pumpkins are so darling and the red door...oh my, Leigh! My dream house will have a red door...and some day, I'll find it! Heart warmed and touched by your Five for Friday gems!
