Reverse Confetti Sketch for You to Try #39 & CAS(E) This Sketch #185

Today, I have two cards to share using sketches and Reverse Confetti.
First up is this month's
Sketch for You to Try at Reverse Confetti:

I decided to use the newly released
Worm Wishes stamp set and coordinating dies to make my card.

I saw a t-shirt advertised on Facebook that I thought would be perfect
for Sage -- since she loves to read and is a fan of Harry Potter.

Well, she loved it, and I decided to make a fun card for her while she was at camp.

I started by trimming out a piece of text patterned paper from my stash
(I think it's American Crafts).
I diecut the top and bottom of it using the lid die from the In A Jam Confetti Cuts --
I just ran it through partially to cut the rounded edge at the top and flipped
it around to cut the pinked edge at the bottom.
I punched a hole with my hole punch and added some

I stamped my sentiment directly onto the patterned paper in red
using Alphabetical -- this is so handy for making your own sentiments! --
and stamped it also on black cardstock and heat embossed it in white.
I diecut the Worm Wishes Confetti Cuts from watercolour paper and stamped
them with the coordinating stamps from Worm Wishes in versafine onyx black,
which I heat embossed in clear.
I used my Zig Markers and a water brush to colour them ink.
Before adhering it to my card base, I scored three lines in my panel
at an angle, to go along with the sketch.

Secondly, I have a card to share that I made for
CAS(E) This Sketch #185 designed by me :

I decided to use another new set to create my card: Toucan of Friendship.

I started with a background of watercolour paper, on which I repeatedly stamped
the leaves from Toucan of Friendship in hawaiian shores and green parakeet.
I "painted" over them with water and paint brush for a watercolour effect
and then restamped the leaves overtop, once they were dry.
I coloured a strip of watercolour paper with a Zig Marker and water
to use as my border.

I stamped the birds from Toucan of Friendship onto their coordinating diecuts
which were diecut from watercolour paper, in versafine onyx black ink
and heat embossed them in clear.
I coloured them in with my Zig Markers and a water brush.
I stamped the sentiment (also from Toucan of Friendship) directly onto my card.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see the rest of the DT's takes on the sketch
and to play along, if you'd like.
You have until Thursday, August 18th to link up your card.
