Reverse Confetti December Blog Hop

Well, it's the eighth of the month, 

which means it's time for the Reverse Confetti Blog Hop!

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog, 

and you should have made it here from the amazing Amy Sheffer's blog. 

It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. 

We have tons of inspiration for you to see using Reverse Confetti's fabulous products! 

Now, the Reverse Confetti DT was challenged a new project
as well as share our top three favourite Reverse Confetti projects from 2015!

First up, my new project...



I decided to get creative with my Reverse Confetti Confetti Cuts and felt
to make a couple of Christmas ornaments.

Let's start with the owl...



I started by diecutting his body using one of the Tagged Tote Confetti Cuts.
Once this was cut, I ran it back through my diecutting machine to cut
the straight edge with the curved edge to make the top of my owl's head.
I used this same die a third time to cut the oval belly --
I just ran it through twice.
I used the little handle dies to diecut his wings and the geotag die
from Documented Confetti Cuts for his eyes.
For his beak, I diecut the end of the Arrow Confetti Cut and then
diecut that again with the geotag die to create the right shape.
Then, I stitched everything together using my sewing machine
and stuffed some batting inside to make him plump.

I cut out the fox with the same Tagged Tote Confetti Cuts and created the oval the same way, too.
This time, though, I cut the top of his head using the Office Edges Confetti Cuts.
I cut his tail with the same die as the owl's wings, the white around his eyes
using the triangle from Branch Out Confetti Cuts and the details of his ears and tail
using some Layered Snowflake Confetti Cuts.

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge -- Dear Santa -- Take Two

Today, I have another card to share that I made using the current

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge -- Dear Santa:

I loved using the sweet typewriter from Mama Elephant's Type It for my first card

so much, that I decided to use it on my second card as well.

This time, I added some festive greenery, as inspired by the photo.

I diecut the typewriter in Delicata Silver onto the coordinating diecut.
I layered it over a Pink Paisley banner and some PTI Tinsel & Tags stamped diecuts.

I stamped the sentiment from PTI's Snow Globe Sentiments 

-- which fit so perfectly! -- in scarlet jewel.

and I used their fabulous products in a creative way to make my card.

I started by layering a Gift Card Holder Tag Confetti Cuts over a piece
of Fancy Pants patterned paper.
Then, I diecut my deer, using a combination of Branch Out Confetti Cuts
& Layered Snowflake Confetti Cuts in classic kraft & dark chocolate cardstock.
I adhered my deer together (adding a fun FP diecut nose!) and then
adhered it to my tag with dimensional adhesive.



I finished it off by stamping my sentiment, from Jolly Holiday, in scarlet jewel ink.

MFT Wednesday Sketch #257 & PTI's MIM #233

I have two cards to share today...

The first one is the card that I made for the 

MFT Stamps Card Challenge: Wednesday Sketch #257:

I flipped the sketch around to create my card:

I diecut some Pink Paisley patterned paper with my PTI Journaling Card 1 die.

I stamped my sentiment (from Hand-Lettered Holiday) onto black cardstock and heat

embossed it in white.

I diecut two cups using my Winter Warmth dies, inked them a little and stamped 

them with the coordinating Winter Warmth stamps.

As a finishing touch, I added a Snowflake Flurry snowflake stamped on a coordinating diecut.

And the second card I'm sharing today is for this week's 

Make It Monday at Papertrey Ink: Splattering.

Now, I do love the look of this, but it makes me very nervous to attempt this technique

on my card!

Why does it work so much better on scrap paper than on my actual card?

I was inspired by Sage's pyjamas to make this card.

I'd been folding laundry and she has a jammie top in these colours. 

Who would have though I could be inspired while doing chores? ;)

I stamped the branches from PTI's Winter Woods and heat embossed them in white.

I added the sweet little chickadee on his coordinating diecut

and added the sentiment from Phrases & Praises.

Fusion Card Challenge {Blue Christmas}

I'm popping in for a second post today to share the card that I made

for the current Fusion Chlalenge {Blue Christmas}:

I was inspired by both the photo and the sketch to create my card,

which I did so using some Reverse Confetti goodies:

I started off by running my Triple Chevies Confetti Cuts through my diecutting machine
with some embossing mats to impress the die into the cardstock.
Then, I cut out the bottom of it by hand.
I diecut the trees using Branch Out Confetti Cuts and white & dark chocolate cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment from Seasonal Sentiments three times:

once on the aqua mist impressed background, once on the centre tree

and a third time on the other two trees.

Then, I adhered them to my aqua mist diecut, added some coloured circles

that I diecut with the tiny circles from Layered Snowflake Confetti Cuts.

I adhered all of this to my white background using dimensional adhesive.

More Winter Woods

Today, I have another card to share that I made using PTI's Winter Woods

stamp set, coordinating dies and cover plate.

I inked my back panel with some harvest gold ink and then layered 

two of the coverplate diecuts over top: one in soft stone & one in stormy seas.

I added my blue jay, who was stamped on a coordinating diecut.

I stamped the sentiment (from Winter Woods) onto a piece of black

cardstock that was diecut using a Pretty Pink Posh stitched banner die

and heat embossed it in white.

CAS(E) This Sketch #151

Today, I have a card to share that I made for

 CAS(E) This Sketch #151 designed by Chrissy Larson:

I decided to make a congratulations card using the sketch:

I used my new PTI Winter Quilt stamp set to stamp the background.

I diecut the Winter Quilt dies and cut out the snowflake, so I could layer it over a inked diecut circle.

I stamped my sentiment in embossing ink onto the banner and heat embossed them in white
and then added ink with my Tim Holtz blending tool.

Just a note

Today, I have a card to share that I made using my new PTI Winter Woods stamp set.

This set is so fun -- and even more so when paired with the coordinating cover plate!

I diecut the trees from soft stone cardstock and layered them over an aqua mist panel.

Then, I added lots of stripes to my trees.

I added the cardinal, who was stamped on a coordinating diecut.

I stamped the sentiment (from Winter Woods) onto a piece of black

cardstock that was diecut using a Pretty Pink Posh stitched banner die

and heat embossed it in white.

I love the idea of using a typewriter on a Christmas card!

I decided to use the sweet Mama Elephant Type It typewriter on my card:

I stamped my typewriter in Delicata Silver ink onto a coordinating diecut and layered it over
a stamped PTI Tinsel & Tags diecut banner and a Teresa Collins bag --
I'm planning on slipping a gift card into this when I send my card.

I found a Pink Paislee Merry & Bright snowflake diecut in my stash
and it seemed too perfect not to add it to my card.
