I'm just popping it to share the Pages with Papertrey challenge for July, which is to include an element on your page that you want to preserve (other than photos and journaling). This can be your child's artwork, a letter from a loved-one, hair from your child's first haircut (I've done this!), ephemeria, etc. Whatever you'd like.
I had made a card for my son last year when he'd had a bad day. Although my kids keep special cards in a box in their room, I thought it would be neat to scrapbook the card I made him, to give it a little context. You can find the blog post I made for this card here.
I used Papertrey Ink cardstock (true black, smokey shadow, spring rain), stamps (Signature Sentiments, mover & shakers sentiments) & dies (star border, uppercase block alphabet, journaling tabs, seeing stars). All of the patterned paper is Echo Park (except for the stripe, that's Fancy Pants).
Here's a close-up of the journaling:
And what I wrote on the inside of the card:
If you create a layout using this challenge, please link it here in the comments on my blog or here in the Papertrey Ink forum, so I can see what you've made!
Thanks for looking!

Leigh, this is fabulous! I can't wait to add this to Joshua's baby album since he has had a 1st hair cut. I will definitely enjoy playing along with this one. I will be catching up with PWP as soon as we are done celebrating his 1st bday (which is around the corner).
Leigh, this made me want to cry it's so sweet. The combination of the cute picture, great layout and your words to your son are wonderful. It's pages like this that make me miss scrapbooking.
Excellent work!
