1. I cannot believe that it's already October!
September totally flew by.... I'm back at work and subbing
quite a lot, which is good.
Sunday School started up again and I have a new group of
kids that I'm getting to know, which is fun.
And, I also signed up to volunteer with the Senior High group on Wednesday evenings. :)
2. Last weekend, Austin & I attended a taekwondo refereeing seminar in Winnipeg.
Austin volunteered at the seminar, which was fun to see.
We managed to do a little shopping in the morning before the seminar and
after the seminar, we met my mom for supper.
3. Austin talked me into buying tickets to go to Central Canada Comic Con (C4)
in Winnipeg on November 1st.
And to make it even more fun, we're going in costumes. :)
It's a Doctor Who theme (of course).
Austin is the 10th Doctor (David Tennant), Jonah is the 11th Doctor (Matt Smith),
Sage is going to be Amy Pond (I found her a red wig at Value Village after having supper
with my mom last weekend) and I'm going as the Tardis.
(I still need to make my costume, but am hoping to get it done soon.)
Don't worry, I will post photos. ;)
4. A couple of things I'm loving right now... these jeans (which I got 30% off & used
a $10 coupon that I got for my birthday) & these runners (which I got for $10).
Both make me very happy.
5. I have a layout to post for this month's Pages With Papertrey,
along with a new challenge, which is to create your own patterned paper.
I created my own patterned papers with stamps -- the orange one is a Hero Arts stamp
and the text is PTI's Text Style.
The title was die cut using PTI's Headline Alphabet dies.
I created my banner using PTI's double-ended banner die and heat embossed my
sentiment (from PTI's Slide Frame) in white.
The pumpkins are from Reverse Confetti's Forever Fall stamp set.
If you create a layout for this challenge, please link it up
here in the comments on my blog or here on the PTI forum
-- I'd love to see what you create!
Thanks for looking!
