CAS(E) This Sketch #176

Today, I have a card to share that I made for

 CAS(E) This Sketch #176 designed by Sam Simpson :

 

For me, this was one of those cards that started off in one way and ended up going

in a different direction -- but I was still happy with how it turned out.

 

I started by using a stencil to apply versamark to my aqua mist cardstock and 

heat embossed it in white.

I diecut the PTI Picket Fence from watercolour paper as well as the Altenew Painted Florals

die cuts, which I stamped with their coordinating stamps in black.

I coloured them in with Zig markers, water and my paintbrush.

I stamped the bird (from Altenew's Wild Hibiscus) and fussy cut it out by hand,

after colouring it with Zigs,  water and a paintbrush.

 

I stamped the sentiment (from Altenew's Best Mom) in versamark onto a strip of 

black cardstock and heat embossed it in white.
